I can understand the frustration that comes with wire. It has a mind of its own sometimes. Oh why thank you.
It takes a few day to make a mask. I draw it out before I start so I have a solid direction. I do not heat the metal, I use thin enough craft wire so that it is malleable enough to bend with my hands and tools but won't loose it's form. This wire is the wire I use for most of my art, it has a copper center with an alloy (one I am not sure of, it isn't nickel, it could be aluminum)outside layer. I spend a good amount of time getting all of the shapes perfect and symetrical due to that fact that I have minor OCD but it proves to be useful in this case! Thanks!
so it's pretty soft then, i assume you have to be relatively careful with it? copper likes to snap.though i suppose the alloy around it would make a difference. i big big meaty man hands. i just break things XD
i also find it pretty difficult to spend to much time on anything, im the opposite i have minor ADHD ahaha.
thats awesome, i took a look at some of your other stuff and its really nice. much respect
It can snap if you I bend one point to much , it becomes quite trouble some! I've been making wire things for more than three years now so I know a few tricks.
It's funny you say that because I have pretty bad adhd! I have to stand up every little while or do something else for a bit! But I still have to get every detail perfect. My mom teases me all the time for it.
